Oman Plants Services Company (OPSC) is a dynamic, young and privately owned independent operating Company which provides a range of plant management services to its clients for petrochemical facilities in the Energy sector.OPSC currently provides Engineering Services, Plant Operation and Management to Oman Methanol Company LLC, owner of a 3000 MTPD Methanol Plant in Sohar.We are currently seeking to attract professionals to serve in the following positions.Fluency in English is a basic requirement.



1. Plant Manager:
Position Specification: The incumbent reports to the Managing Director and will be responsible for execution of the Company’s business goals in keeping with its vision, mission and strategic business and development plans. The incumbent will be the direct liason with the Client and will take full control of the operational aspects of the plant in order to achieve HSE, production and financial targets.
Qualification & Experience: B. Sc Mechanical, Electrical, industrial or Chemical/Process Engineering with a minimum fifteen years experience in the management and operation of world-class petrochemical plants is required. Postgraduate qualification in production management or business management would be an asset.
Candidate Profile: Candidates should possess extensive experience in process plant operations, maintenance, design and project management in the petrochemical industry. Additionally, they must have demonstrated supervisory and leadership expertise, strong analytical skills, an ability to exercise sound judgment and communicate effectively. Expertise in the areas of human resource development and health, safety & environment are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the resilience to function effectively in Middle Eastern business culture.

2. Operations Manager:
Positions Specification: The incumbent is responsible for formulating strategies for the safe and efficient production, storage and shipment of the product in accordance with the Company’s contractual obligation.
Qualification & Experience: B Sc. In Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering with a minimum of ten years experience in Operations, five to eight of which must be at a senior level is required.
Candidate Profile: Candidates should possess extensive experience in process plant operations, maintenance and project management in the petrochemical industry. Additionally, they must have demonstrated supervisory and leadership expertise, strong analytical skills, an ability to exercise sound judgment and communicate effectively. Expertise in the areas of human resource development and health, safety & environment are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the resilience to function effectively in Middle Eastern business culture.

3. Technical Services Manager:
Position Specification: The incumbent is responsible for formulating and implementing technical strategies and programmes in support of the plant operations in the areas of Process Engineering, Risk Management and Quality Control to ensure optimal performance of the plant. Qualification & Experience: B. Sc in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of ten years experience in a process plant environment including plant operations is required. Five to eight years experience must be at a senior level.
Candidate profile: candidates should possess extensive experience in process plant operations, maintenance and project management in the petrochemical industry. Additionally, they must have demonstrated supervisory and leadership expertise, strong analytical skills, an ability to exercise sound judgment and communicate effectively. Expertise in the areas of human resource development and health, safety & environment are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the resilience to function effectively in Middle Eastern business culture.

4. Finance Manager:
Position Specification: The incumbent is responsible for accounting, financial reporting and control, financial and operational planning and budgeting, performance management and business process improvement. In addition the incumbent should have an aptitude for understanding of the contractual responsibilities and entire business operations.
Qualification & Experience: A management or finance degree with professional accounting or finance qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CMA) with minimum of eight years experience in Financial Management is required. A Master degree in Business Administration and in-depth knowledge on SAP will be an asset.
Candidate Profile: candidates should possess extensive experience in process plant environment. Additionally, they must have demonstrated supervisory and leadership expertise, strong analytical and project management skills, an ability to exercise sound judgment and communicate effectively. Expertise in the areas of human resource development and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Power Point etc) are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the resilience to function effectively in Middle Eastern business culture.

5. Materials Manager:
Position Specification: The incumbent will plan, direct, co-ordinate and manage the activities of the Material Department with responsibility for Procurement, Contract Administration, Warehousing, Transport, Tool Stores Administration, Inventory Control and Customs. The incumbent will relate with Government agencies, local and international contractors and suppliers as well as insurance agents and other international agencies.
Qualification & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in management or Professional Certification with CIPS, ISM and/or APICS and a minimum of ten years experience in a process plant materials environment. Five years experience must be at a senior level.
Candidate Profile: candidates should possess extensive experience in process plant operations, maintenance and project management in the petrochemical industry. Additionally, they must have demonstrated supervisory and leadership expertise, strong negotiation skills, an ability to exercise sound judgment and communicate effectively. Expertise in the areas of human resource development and health, safety & environment are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the resilience to function effectively in Middle Eastern business culture.

6. Human Resources Manager (Omani National):
Position Specification: The incumbent will be responsible for maximizing the contribution of all employees towards the achievement of the Company’s business objectives through review/ appraisal, training and development of personnel. He shall also be responsible to ensure relevance and Compliance to company’s philosophy, policies, procedures and practices.
Qualification & Experience: The candidate should have a degree in management studies or sociology with minimum 10 years relevant experience in senior position in the Human Resource Management field. MBA Qualification would be an asset.
Candidate Profile: candidates should possess extensive experience in process plant environment. Additionally, they must have Supervisory and leadership expertise, strong analytical skills, an ability to exercise sound judgment and Communicate effectively. Expertise in areas of Human Recource development and implementation of HR policy and procedure.
